Our story begins on the 2nd of December 1970, when Dino Grassi started his own business as a restorer of antique furniture. His evolution continues when in 1978 his brother Attilio joined him, an asset, as he was an expert (having graduated from the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence) in theart of restoring the carvings and paintings on the antiques. In 1982 the business began retailing antiques.
On the 9th of September 1992 the company stopped trading under the name of Dino Grassi.
The reason being that Attilio became a joint partner. On the 29th December, 1997 the partnership had a structural variation.
During this time they began a friendship and working relationship with Stefano Stefanelli, whose family have been furniture manufacturers for generations in the town of Perignano, Tuscany. His expertise and knowledge as an antiquarian has been a bonus to the company, Stefano's discerning eye and aesthetic capability together with the brothers' skills results in a successful union. He joined the company Grassi S.A.S. as a partner on the 13th of April 2012, which enabled the idea, to come to fruition: the possibility of working together with our professional craftsmen, expert team and fine materials to produce in the tradition of Tuscan culture and in synergy with all, to create a product of the highest quality.
